Never in a Million Years!

Never in a million years would I have thought that one photo that I have taken would do so well in contests. I found out this week that "Beam me up, Scotty!" was selected as one of National Geographics photos of the year for 2008. There were over 100,000 entries worldwide, and one 1st place and 3 Honorable Mentions. (see here). I'd like to think that I got 2nd place but I am extremely happy that I even placed with such a prestigious competition.

Shawna

Well I must have done something right back in September with Shawna and her fiance because she
asked me to take more pics of her. We had a blast out at Saltair with this shoot.

The Wilsons

Today was a bunch of firsts for me. I had the unique opportunity to do a baby shoot for my HR manager at Enterprise at her house. Warren was so much fun to work with and it was a great experience, even with him peeing all over everything (hey he's a baby and that is what they do). Warren is only 3 weeks old and did such a great job, mom and dad did good too!

Bruns Family

I had a great opportunity today to do a family photo shoot of some old neighbors the Bruns. Ryan and his family were wonderful to work with and a lot of fun.

Saltair

If you ever get a chance to go out to Saltair do so. I had some time on my hands the other night and thought that it would be fun to go see the old train car and some of the old buildings. I took a few pictures and thought what a nice place it would be for soemone who wanted a slightly different style of photo. So if your interested or know someone who is let me know I'd love to go out and just do a shoot sometime.
